40 Ways to Pray – Share your Faith

Day 19 – Pray to be bold in sharing your Faith

Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen.  Hebrews 11:1

Did you ever get a new car?  Have you ever watched something gut wrenching funny on TV?  Has your family had a baby?  Remember when you got married?  What about surgery or a hospital stay?

When we have big events in our lives what do we do with them?  We share them!

We tell everybody that will slow down what has happened to us.  In today’s world we will post it on a social media complete with pictures and maybe even a video.  Those with social skills will actually tell somebody to their face.

What about the greatest thing that has ever happened to you?  Salvation

When was the last time you shared about the greatest gift you have ever accepted?  If you have accepted the free pardon of sin through Jesus, then in my opinion you have the best gift ever in the world.  We should be sharing it from the roof tops.

And we do – for a while.  Then we let the weeds of the world get in our minds and try to choke out that joy we experienced.  And we become less vocal about the joy.  We become less vocal about the hope we have in Jesus and the freedom of the life He lets me live.  And we get to the point where we just don’t share with others.

You know what you need to rekindle that excitement and joy –  a touch from Jesus!  You need the creator of your body put a jolt of the Holy Spirit in you that will make you get up and shout.

Ask Jesus to show you that joy again.  Ask Jesus to reassure you of the hope you have in Him.  And ask Him to help you be BOLD in sharing your faith in Jesus Christ – Lord of all!
